From 2017: "As a Herbalife veteran of almost 30 years, Ric Hobby has amassed extensive international expertise in business development, general management and government affairs in more than 100 countries. He leads the company’s government affairs activities across the world, focusing on public policy development, creating and nurturing public-private partnerships with governments and other non-governmental organisations, creating and modifying global, regional and national legislation and regulation, and promulgating self regulatory and other higher standards for industry. In over twenty years working with EU institutions, he secured specific legislation to define and protect Herbalife’s most important products and co-drafted pieces of EU legislation to raise consumer protection and ban fraudulent and misleading practices. Hobby has provided multi-decade leadership to a variety of key industry groups in the nutrition and other sectors and has co-founded some of the most effective advocate organizations of the company’s business across several continents. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the global International Alliance of Food/Dietary Supplement Associations (IADSA). A life long commitment to building future generations has seen Hobby support youth development, upholding family values and in inspiring a commitment to education, including more than a decade as a visiting university lecturer."[1]
