Rene Padilla "has a PhD in New Testament from the University of Manchester, England. He was a member of the staff of the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students for Latin America from 1959 to 1982. General Secretary of the Latin American Theological Fellowship from 1983 to 1992 and founding member of the Kairos Community of Buenos Aires, 1976 to the present.
"Currently, Rene is Emeritus President of the Kairos Foundation and Director of Kairos Books." [1]
