"Very active in Jewish communal life, Rebecca Fischer is passionate about the work Jewish National Fund is doing for the land and people of Israel. She has visited Israel many times, most recently as part of the Makor mission.
"Beckie presently serves as the immediate past chair of AIPAC for Broward County and is a member of the Executive Committee of AIPAC's national board. She also serves on the Board of the Kesher School, a Jewish Day School for children with special needs, and is a member of her local JNF Board.
Beckie has a long history of involvement in her community, including serving as Women's Division Co-President and a Vice President at Large for the general Board of her Federation. She served as the Chair of the National UJC Planning for Delivery of Human Services Committee under the UJC Human Services and Social Policy Pillar and on the National Women's Philanthropy Board of UJC, serving as Programming Chair for the 2004 International Lion of Judah Conference. Beckie was a member of the National Young Leadership Cabinet and Co-Chaired the Southeast Region during her tenure on Cabinet. She also served as Associate Campaign Chair and the Jewish Agency for Israel Liaison as a member of Cabinet. Beckie served as a board member for the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute Women in Science and on the Board of Governors of Hillel Community Day school for many years. She is a past president of the Leukemia Society of America South Florida." [1]
