Raymond Flynn

Raymond L. Flynn (also known as Ray Flynn) was United States Ambassador to the Vatican from 1993 until 1997. He was the Mayor of Boston from 1984 until July of 1993. Mr. Flynn has been the president of the U.S. Conference of Mayors and the national co-chairman of the Clinton for President Committee in 1992.

In 1994 he was co-chairman of the 'American Immigration Institute' of the Alexis de Tocqueville Institution (AdTI). On AdTI's website, Keith Sheets, a consultant to Alexis de Tocqueville Institution, wrote about him in August 2002 when he helped promoting David Brennan's book 'The Cleveland Voucher Case' published in June 2002 by AdTI:

"Ray Flynn, a former Boston mayor and U.S. Ambassador to the Vatican is a major supporter of school choice voucher systems for the entire nation ...," [1]
