The Raoul Wallenberg Committee of the United States "was created as a not-for-profit corporation in May 1981.
"The Committee's mission is:" [1]
- To perpetuate the humanitarian ideals and the nonviolent courage of Raoul Wallenberg through the national distribution of a unique academic program; A STUDY OF HEROES, an interdisciplinary curriculum for use in elementary and high schools.
- To help fund the efforts to determine Raoul Wallenberg's actual fate.
- To bestow The Raoul Wallenberg Award on individuals, organizations and communities that reflect Raoul Wallenberg's humanitarian spirit, personal courage and nonviolent action in the face of enormous odds.
