Ties to the American Legislative Exchange Council
Sen. Hopper is a member of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC). He serves as a member of ALEC's Telecommunications and Information Technology Task Force as well as the Commerce, Insurance and Economic Development Task Force. In the 2011-2012 legislative session, Sen. Hopper co-authored 6 bills that reflect ALEC models, according to an analysis by the Center for Media and Democracy.
