Pulp Mill Task Force

The Pulp Mill Task Force is a group formed by the Tasmanian Government's Department of Economic Development to promote the Gunns proposed pulp mill at Longreach, in the Tamar Valley of Northern Tasmania.

In letters obtained under the freedom of information legislation, the Resource Planning and Development Comissions's executive commissioner, Julian Green, details his concerns over the role of the Pulp Mill Task Force.

Mr Green says the RPDC will be compromised in the eyes of the public and the assessment process will be seen to be contaminated unless the activities of the task force are reined in.
