Preeti Verma was a Research Analyst with the World Resources Institute's Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) project.
A biographical note while she was at WRI stated that her "research mainly focuses on assessing the technical, policy, regulatory and economic aspects of deploying clean power technologies. She has worked on assessing the stakeholder perceptions of CCS technology in the United States and India and is also the lead author of transport section of WRI CCS Guidelines. Her area of interests broadly include clean energy technologies including, CCS, renewables and energy efficiency as greenhouse gas abatement strategies; policy, regulatory, economic and social dimensions of implementing these technologies in both the developed and developing countries."[1]
"Prior to WRI, she has been associated with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) New Delhi and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, India working on climate change adaptation and mitigation issues focusing on Clean Development Mechanism and climate change vulnerability and adaptation in Asia."[1]
She was one of the co-authors of Guidelines for Carbon Dioxide Capture, Transport, and Storage, a report published in 2008 by the World Resources Institute. The report, which was funded by BP and the Pew Charitable Trust, was co-authored with Sarah M. Forbes, Thomas E. Curry, Dr. S. Julio Friedmann and Sarah M. Wade.[2]
