Pouring rights, or exclusive contracting, refers to when soda companies (mainly Coke and Pepsi) form contracts with schools to have the right to sell only that company's products on school grounds. Often these deals last for many years, and can contain lucrative signing bonuses and incentives that result in promoting unhealthy beverages.[1]
