Peter Gale
"Peter is responsible for private equity investment decisions and for all aspects of Hermes GPE’s private equity investment process. He leads the co-investment program and decisions on allocation and strategy for individual client portfolio construction. He is Chair of both the Hermes GPE Management and Investment Committees, and a member of the Hermes GPE Executive Committee. He has 36 years of investment experience, including 28 years in private equity. Previously, he was Managing Director and CIO of the Hermes GPE predecessor organisation, Gartmore Private Equity; and Investment Manager of the National Westminster Bank Pension Fund (later known as the RBS Group Pension Fund) where he initiated both the private equity and co-investment programs. Peter holds an MSc in Economics from the University of Oxford and a BA in Economics from the University of Exeter." [1]
