Pete Higgins "is a founding partner of Second Avenue Partners. Before founding Second Avenue Partners, he spent 16 years at Microsoft Corporation, most recently as Group Vice President of the Interactive Media Group. Prior to that, he was Group Vice President of Microsoft's Applications and Content group, where he was responsible for an extensive line of products, including Microsoft Office.

"Mr. Higgins serves on the board of directors of Bocada Inc., Insitu Group, Azaleos Corp, Ice Energy, and Housevalues. He is an executive advisor for Hellman Friedman, a private equity firm.

"Mr. Higgins also serves on the Board of Trustees for Stanford University, the Hoh River Trust, and Long Live the Kings. He is a past board member of the Washington Software Association, the Software Publishers Association, and Advanced Digital Information Corporation (ADIC). Mr. Higgins holds an MBA and an undergraduate degree in economics and history from Stanford University." [1]
