Pete Cartwright "has developed and built power plants in the United States and internationally employing a wide range of technologies. Mr. Cartwright is recognized as an environmental leader in the power industry. He is an engineering graduate of Princeton and Columbia Universities. During his years at General Electric he managed nuclear power plant projects and nuclear power technology programs in Asia, Latin America and Europe. He founded Calpine in 1984. While he was CEO, Calpine grew from a startup company to a $19 billion business that owned over 25,000 MW of gas-fired power plants and the world’s largest geothermal facility." [1]
