"Educated to degree level with two degrees from the Open University as well as around 20 years experience working in public relations. Managed the Media Relations Team at WaterAid for three years, managed staff for MEP for four years and for the Labour Party for eight years Over 8 years experience of campaigning working for the Labour Party and 4 years with a Member of the European parliament as well as 2 years as a student campaigner.
"Four years spent as board member of the International Broadcasting Trust.
"Considerable experience working with volunteers and organising them. Also established and run the Beeston village website, Chair of the village Open Gardens Group.
"Ten years experience in the labour movement lobbying government, ministers and party. Spent ten years working in the labour movement directly with opinion formers including two years as General Secretary of the National Union of Labour Organisers, negotiating directly with the party leader. Regular guest lecturer in media on the Liverpool University development diploma course." [1]
