Patrick and Desiree Myers
Lance Cpl. Patrick Myers, United States Marine Corps (Ret.) Patrick Myers is originally from Grapevine, Texas. He was wounded on November 10, 2005 in Iraq near the Syrian border, when the road exploded under the Humvee he was driving and shrapnel from an anti-tank mine ripped off his legs above the knees, broke his back, and injured four other Marines.He has since been medically discharged from the US Marines and married Desiree in February of 2007. Desiree has a daughter that the two of them are raising together. Myers now serves as a National Spokesman for CSAH in order to further support the soldiers that are wounded daily in the War on Terror. After his injury, Patrick has since learned to adapt and works closely with CSAH to make sure that other wounded soldiers can learn to do the same.
