Pat Kingsley
Pat Kingsley is the founder and principal owner of PMK, one of Hollywood's most powerful publicity firms. Her Los Angeles-based firm has represented celebrity clients including Tom Cruise, Calista Flockhart, Jodie Foster, Richard Gere, Tom Hanks, Courtney Love and Al Pacino.
According to a profile of Kingsley on the website of the Public Relations Society of America, Kingsley "is routinely credited and criticized for rewriting the traditional rules of publicity. Unlike the image of fawning entertainment publicists of yore, who would do anything to get their clients media coverage, Kingsley is not afraid to say "No." She was the first publicist to demand cover stories for clients and is fiercely protective of them. (Her firm reportedly keeps a "blacklist" of journalists and publications who have done her clients wrong.)" [1]
In February 1999, PMK was acquired by the McCann-Erikson advertising firm.
