P. Degola was appointed Vice President of Philip Morris Italy, effective February 1, 1992. He previously served as General Manager of PM Italy. Paolo Degola joined Philip Morris in January 1985 on a development program. In 1986, he became Manager of Marketing Coordination in Italy and in 1987 was appointed Manager of Marketing Italy. He was named Director of Marketing in Italy in 1989 and served as General Manager Italy since 1990.[1]

Reporting to Paolo Degola were:

• Giovanni Pozzali, Managing Director of Intertaba
• Francesco Guidetti, Manager of Marketing
• Maurizio Zaccheo, Director of Sales & Distribution
• Aurelio Regina, Manager of Corporate Affairs

Degola relocated in 1992 from Rome to Lausanne and reported to Walter Thoma.
