Pam Inmann, former lobbyist for Philip Morris/Altria

Pam Inmann was Philip Morris Government Affairs Regional Director in Colorado, circa 1996. She was a lobbyist and helped advance legislation friendly to the tobacco industry.

Biography

Inmann began her career with the Colorado governor’s office in 1977. She retired from Altria Corporate Services, Inc., around 2004, after more than 13 years as its Director of State Government Affairs for the Western district. Prior to that, she served for 10 years as Director of Special Projects for the Rocky Mountain Oil and Gas Association. At RMOGA she served as Director of Special Projects and Director of the Committee on Oil Shale.

Pam Inmann became Executive Director of the Western Governors' Association in March 2004. WGA represents the governors of 18 states and three U.S.-flag islands in the Pacific[1]

Efforts to preserve smoking

Inmann worked on behalf of Philip Morris to help preserve smoking inside Denver International Airport. An August, 1993 letter from David Mosteller to Pam Oldham Inmann of Philip Morris, describes the restaurant company PLF Airport, Incorporated, and outlines plans for the smoking lounges that Philip Morris was planning to build inside the airport. Ideas included a "Marlboro Lounge" that would utilize items from the "Miles for Gear" promotional catalogue for Marlboro brand cigarettes. Philip Morris would pay for the ventilation system in the smoking lounge.[2]
