Oscar Grant III (February 27, 1986 - January 1, 2009) was age 22 when he was killed by BART police officer Johannes Mehserle. His death was caught on video, and Mehserle was convicted of involuntary manslaughter. Grant left behind a daughter, age four at the time of his death.
