Biographical Information

"Dr. Orrie Fenn B.Sc (Hons) Eng, MPhil Eng, Dr. Eng. served as Chief Operating Officer of Pretoria Portland Cement Company Ltd. since May 2005. Dr. Fenn served as Director, Sales and Marketing of Cement of Pretoria Portland Cement Company Ltd. since 2002 and as its Managing Director of the PPC Cement Division since March 5, 2004. Dr. Fenn joined PPC Group in 1999, initially to lead the global technical benchmarking of the Cement division facilities. Later in that year, he served as Operations Director of the Cement division of PPC, with responsibility for the South African cement factories and quarries. Prior to joining PPC, he spent seven years at Chamber of Mines Research Organisation (COMRO) and served as Projects Director of Murray & Roberts cement, aggregate and readymix division. He spent his early career in Anglo American and De Beers operations.He has been Group Executive Director of Murray & Roberts Holdings Ltd since November 2009. He served as an Executive Director of Pretoria Portland Cement Company Ltd. since March 5, 2004. He is a Member of the SA Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and is a Fellow of the SA Institute of Quarrying. He has a government Certificate of Competency (Mines and Works). He obtained a Doctorate in the field of underground rock boring."
