One Voice

The One Voice "initiative is based on the premise that there is a silent majority among Israelis and Palestinians who want a negotiated settlement to their conflict and an end to the cycle of violence.

"On the Palestinian side, leading Palestinian Islamic cleric Sheikh Tayseer Tamini Yasser Abbas, son of Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen), are included among the list of names of those who support One Voice."

Fathi Darwish notes that "In terms of the financial support, we are a part of the Peace Works Foundation association. This association is based in New York and gathers funds from across the world. Many charities from across the US, Europe, and some Arab countries donate to this association, as do some business people. This association is not our only source of funding. For example, IBM donated half a million dollars to us in computer equipment. The Ford Foundation also donated to us in addition to many other international associations."
