Niles E. Helmboldt is the Chairman, Executive Committee of the Modern Africa Fund Managers.

"Niles Helmboldt is the founder and was chief executive officer of Equator Bank from 1974 until 1988; Equator Bank was sold to Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation in 1981. From 1984 to 1996 he was a director and member of the executive committee of SIFIDA, a Geneva-based financial organisation financing businesses and projects throughout Africa. In addition to his Fund-related directorships, Mr. Helmboldt is a director of Euronimba Ltd., a consortium of French, South African and Japanese mining companies currently developing an iron ore mine in Guinea. Before founding Equator Bank, Mr. Helmboldt worked with Citibank in New York, Panama and Liberia." [1]
