Nigel Unwin

Nigel Unwin "was educated at the University of the Witwatersrand. He joined the Anglo American Corporation in 1974. In 1991 he took up the position of Group Human Resources Executive for Edgars Stores Limited. He was appointed an Executive Officer of AngloGold in 1999. After AngloGold merged with Ashanti Goldfields in April 2004 he was the Executive Officer responsible for Human Resources and Information Technology functions within the group. He is currently a member of the Executive Committee of AngloGold Ashanti Limited and holds the portfolio of Executive Vice President: Corporate Services. He is also chairman of the Board of Governors of the Hospice Association of the Witwatersrand."
