Biographical Information

"Nigel Gourlay, FCA, graduated from Wye College (now part of Imperial College London) with a degree in Agricultural Economics before qualifying as a chartered accountant with Deloitte and Touche. Prior to co-founding Animos in 2002 he spent twenty years in the consumer products industry with BAT Industries where his roles included Vice President of marketing in the USA and Head of Business Development in London, where he had a global remit to expand the group by opening new markets through acquisition and joint venture. He completed more than twenty transactions around the world, including managing the successful £13 billion merger with Rothmans. He was a director of BATIF, the group's debt funding vehicle and of several group subsidiaries.

"While with Animos his appointments have included main board director of NYSE listed Sitel Corporation, where he was on the audit and remuneration committees, Chairman of AIM listed NWD Group and alternate director of Colt Car Company, the UK distributor of Mitsubishi cars."[1]
