Nicky Rattray
In 2007: "The voice is calm and measured, but there is no mistaking the pain behind the dark glasses that hide her eyes. It is 9.30am, three weeks after Nicky Rattray saw her husband, the world famous Anglo-Zulu War expert David Rattray, gunned down in front of her by one of six armed intruders, less than 50 yards from where she is now sitting.
"The chalets at Fugitive's Drift, the guest lodge she and David built on the lip of the spectacular Buffalo River Gorge near Rorke's Drift in KwaZulu-Natal province, are empty but for the Zulu cleaning ladies. The only sound is of weaver birds squabbling in the trees." [1]
