Nick Selbie, former Treasurer of Practical Action.

"Nick was a managing partner of Actis, one of the leading private equity fund managers in emerging markets with $3bn under management. He retired from Actis in September 2005. Nick now holds a number of non executive roles: as well as being a Trustee of Practical Action he is Chair of Aureos (a leading SME private equity fund manager in emerging markets), Chair of the CDC Pension Fund, Chair of the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust, Chair of SPW (an HIV/Aids focused charity operating in Africa and South Asia), Member of VSO’s UK Committee and its Council and Honorary Treasurer of the Royal African Society. Nick was previously Finance Director and Managing Director of Investments with CDC and before that spent 16 years with Kleinwort Benson, BZW and Barclays Merchant Bank in London and New York." [1]
