Nick Greiner

Nick Greiner was Premier and Treasurer of New South Wales, Australia, from 1988-1992. While Premier, Greiner employed Ian Kortlang in the position as the chief of staff to the Premier of New South Wales.

"He is currently Chairman of United Utilities, Bilfinger Berger Australia, Bradken Ltd and The Nuance Group, Deputy Chairman of Stockland Trust and Castle Harlan Australian Mezzanine Partners (CHAMP), and a Director of QBE Insurance and McGuigan Simeon Wines.
"Nick is Chairman of The Australian Subscription Television and Radio Association (ASTRA) and on the Committee for Economic Development of Australia's (CEDA's) Board of Governors and the Board of South Sydney Rugby League Club.
"In the Queen's Birthday Honours List of 1994, Nick was awarded a Companion of the Order of Australia for public sector reform and management and services to the community." [1]

Greiner was Chairman of the Board of British American Tobacco subsidiary, WD & HO Wills Australia in 1996. (Wills name was later changed to BAT Australia). Greiner was chairman of the BAT Australia board until 2004. [2]

Nick is a board member of the Australian Davos Connection and has been associated with the secretive neoliberal Crossroads group.

On 23 August 1989, the Sydney IPA became the Sydney Institute, and was opened by New South Wales Premier Nick Greiner.
