"I am interested in effective altruism, existential risk, philanthropy, and philosophy. In my last job, I was the CEO of the FTX Foundation. Before that, I was a Program Officer for Open Philanthropy, which I joined in 2014 as an early employee. There I worked on global catastrophic risk reduction, science philanthropy, and effective altruism grants. Prior to that, I was a research fellow at the Future of Humanity Institute at Oxford University. I did a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Rutgers University, where I wrote a dissertation on the importance of shaping the distant future and helped launch the Centre for Effective Altruism." [1]
