New Model School

The New Model School is a project of Civitas to run private schools at lower rates than those found in the current private sector. Savings are said to come from a "no frills" approach and by renting school accommodation rather than buying it; all running costs are supposed to come from the fees. Initial funding comes from private shareholders and from Civitas (who is "hosting" the project). The New Model School Company will run as a franchise.

Currently there is only one school, in the the Queen's Park area of London, due to start in September 2004.
