MoveOn says that it "sends only solicited mail to folks who have signed up, via the MoveOn.org website, for updates on political issues." However, it has occasionally been accused of sending unsolicited spam emails, and as a result its email alerts have sometimes been subjected to spam blocking. MoveOn organizers suspect that their messages are being marked as spam by people who disagree with their political message. [1]
