The Minerals Group All Party Group exists "to promote parliamentary awareness of the importance of minerals to industry, the UK economy and society in general; to act as an information exchange between parliamentarians and industry and to inform of developments in minerals usage".

Keene Public Affairs provide administrative services to the group. £4000 per annum is paid to the group by each of the following: British Cement Association, CBI Minerals Committee, Quarry Products Association, Silica and Moulding Sands Association, Kaolin and Ball Clay Association. [1]
