Millennium World Peace Summit

"On August 28th through 31st of the year 2000, two thousand of the world's preeminent religious and spiritual leaders representing the many faith traditions, gathered at the United Nations for a Millennium World Peace Summit of Religious and Spiritual Leaders." [1]

"Funding for the World Peace Summit is being provided by the U.N. Foundation/Better World Fund, founded by Ted Turner, Ford Foundation, Ruder Finn, Inc., the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, The Carnegie Foundation, the Modi Foundation, and the Greenville Foundation among others. A number of religious groups are providing financial support by sponsoring meals and in-kind contributions." [2]
