Michael Vollman
Michael Vollman "has the dual role of Executive Vice President of Theatrical Marketing for MGM Worldwide Motion Picture Group and President of Marketing for United Artists (UA). Named to the post in August 2008, Mr. Vollman oversees all theatrical marketing activities at MGM. Additionally, Mr. Vollman coordinates marketing strategies for UA's future film releases.
"Prior to MGM, Mr. Vollman held the post of Executive Vice President, Integrated Marketing and National Publicity for Paramount Pictures, a position he had since April 2007. In that position, Mr. Vollman was responsible for the studio's theatrical publicity, integrated marketing and field marketing activities. Mr. Vollman joined Paramount in 2006 as Executive Vice President integrated marketing when the studio acquired DreamWorks.
"At Paramount, Mr. Vollman was an integral part of the marketing campaigns for such films as Transformers, Shrek the Third, and, most recently, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls.
"During his decade with DreamWorks, Mr. Vollman oversaw field marketing, Internet marketing and media promotions and handled campaigns for such films as The Ring, American Beauty and Shrek.
"Before DreamWorks, Mr. Vollman was a marketing manager at Buena Vista Pictures, where he worked on western field campaigns for films including The Rock, The Lion King and The Mighty Ducks." [1]
