Michael Portillo is the UK Member of Parliament for Kensington and Chelsea and a former non-executive director of defence manufacturer BAE Systems. He was made a Cabinet Minister as Chief Secretary to the Treasury under John Major in 1992 and then held the portfolios of Employment (1994) and then Defence (1995-1997).
