"Michael Mire is a non-executive director of the Care Quality Commission. Michael was a partner of McKinsey & Company, the management consulting firm, for more than 20 years. He worked predominantly on strategy for retailing and financial services clients until his retirement in 2013.
"After leaving university Michael joined the banking firm N M Rothschild. He then went to Harvard Business School where he gained an MBA degree. On his return, he was seconded to the then equivalent of the Number 10 Policy Unit before he joined McKinsey. Michael is on the board of Aviva plc, where he is a non-executive director and a member of the Risk and Governance Committees, and is a Senior Advisor to Lazard, the investment bank."[1]
