Biographical Information
"Mr. Farrant is a chartered accountant with 15 years of experience in gold mining, including President & CEO of Sierra Mineral Inc., a TSX listed Mexican gold producer after having served as CFO of a number of junior development stage and producing mining companies. During his 6 years with Barrick Gold Corporation and 3 years with Kinross Gold Corporation, he held progressively senior finance positions, including Vice-President and Treasurer of Kinross. He currently serves as President & CEO of Commonwealth Silver and Gold Mining Inc. and Buena Vista Gold Inc., private companies with projects in Arizona and Nevada, respectively. Mr. Farrant holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honors, from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, and earned his CA designation in 1995 while with Coopers & Lybrand." [1]
