Michael C. Dreiling

Michael Dreiling "is an associate professor of Sociology at the University of Oregon. In 2001, his research on the political conflicts over the NAFTA was published as a book titled Solidarity and Contention: The Politics of Class and Sustainability in the NAFTA Conflict. Since 1997, he has published eight research articles as well. He is currently engaged in a book project examining "corporations and the making of U.S. trade policy." Over the last several years, Professor Dreiling studied nonviolence and nonviolent communication, publishing an article about the use of nonviolence in the college classroom, and is at the early stages of a project on "Globalizing Nonviolence."
