Max Hernandez
Max Hernández M.D., D.P.M. "is a full member of the International Psychoanalytic Association. He has been a British Council Scholar, a Ministry of Overseas Development (U.K.) Fellow, a Wilson Center Guest Scholar, a Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Spain) Fellow, Fellow of the Society for the Humanities at the University of Cornell and of the World Academy of Art and Science.
"He has obtained the Simón Bolívar Award of the American Psychiatric Association; the Mary S. Sigourney Award of the International Psychoanalytic Association, the Luis Miro Quesada Award of the Instituto del Ciudadano and the Gold Medal of the Peruvian Medical College. He is the autor of Entre el mito y la historia, Ediciones Psicoanalíticas, Imago, Lima, 1987; Memoria del bien perdido, Editorial Siruela, Madrid, 1992 and ¿Es otro el rostro del Perú?, Editorial Apoyo, Lima, 2000,. He has co-authored El umbral de los dioses, Biblioteca Peruana de Psicoanálisis, Lima, 1991; Democracia y buen gobierno, Editorial Apoyo, Lima, 1994, 1997, 2000; Perú: estrategia y desarrollo, Editorial Apoyo, Lima 2000 and Squiggles and Spaces, Whurr Publishers, London, 2001. At present he is a Training and Supervising Analyst at the Peruvian Psychoanalytical Society, member of SIDEA (Seminario Interdisciplinario de Estudios Andinos) and of IEP (Instituto de Estudios Peruanos), and co-director of FORO Nacional/Internacional."
