Matthew Hurtt is a copywriter for Response America, located in Alexandria, Virginia. Prior to joining Response America, Hurtt worked for Maryland State Senator Alex X. Mooney. From July 2009 to March 2010, he worked as a Campus Services Coordinator at the Leadership Institute.[citation needed]
He graduated from the Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN in May 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science. He became politically active at a young age, running for Rutherford County Commission - District 9 in 2006.[1] After that, he managed several state and local campaigns.
