Mathew Staver is the chairman of the Liberty Alliance Action, a U.S.-based conservative lobby group.
Staver has issued public statements supporting John McCain's selection of Sarah Palin as his vice-presidential running mate[1] and opposing the Democratic Party policy on abortion.[2]
Media releases he has issued also refer to him as "Chairman of Liberty Counsel and Dean of Liberty University School of Law.[1]
