"Dr. Pearl directs Wildlife Trust, an international network of scientists and educators engaged in work to save endangered species and their habitats from extinction in 20 high-biodiversity countries. She previously served as Associate Director of the Center for Environmental Research and Conservation, a consortium at Columbia University that includes the American Museum of Natural History, the New York Botanical Garden, and the Wildlife Conservation Society/Bronx Zoo. She is editor of the series Methods and Cases in Conservation Science , published by Columbia University Press, and co-editor of the forthcoming book from Oxford Press, Conservation Medicine . She co-founded the Center for Conservation Medicine at Tufts University. Her own research background is in the behavioral ecology and conservation of Old World primates, and she has authored a large number of publications in the field of conservation science. Dr. Pearl received her undergraduate and doctoral degrees from Yale University." [1]
