Biographical Information

"Dr. Mulry is president of FoodWise, a consulting firm dedicated to the development of organic, natural and functional foods; dietary supplements; quality systems; nutrition strategy; and product standards. Prior to consulting, Dr. Mulry was the director of product development, healthy living and central market brands at H-E-B, a retailer located in San Antonio, Tex. She has more than 18 years of experience in various aspects of product development, and in-depth experience with technical and regulatory issues related to the food and dietary supplement industries. She directed the development of the product standards for Alfalfa’s Markets and Wild Oats Markets. Dr. Mulry earned her BS in food science from the University of Wisconsin and her PhD in food science and human nutrition from the University of Florida. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Organic Trade Association, and is a current board member and past-president of the board for the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI)." [1]
