Mary C. Farrell "is a consultant to the financial services industry with more than 35 years of experience as an investment analyst and strategist. Ms. Farrell retired in July 2005 from UBS, where she served as Managing Director and Chief Investment Strategist for UBS Wealth Management USA and Co-Head of UBS Wealth Management Investment Strategy & Research Group. Ms. Farrell began her investment career in 1971 with Pershing & Company and was an analyst at Smith Barney and Merrill Lynch before joining PaineWebber in 1982 as an investment strategist.

"As a recognized market expert, Ms. Farrell is often quoted in leading business publications and featured on national television on the topics of retirement, women, and investing. Ms. Farrell was a regular panelist on Wall $treet Week With Louis Rukeyser and was elected to its Hall of Fame in 1995. She continued her panelist role on Louis Rukeyser’s Wall Street on CNBC through 2004. Ms. Farrell is also the author of Mary Farrell’s Beyond the Basics: How to Invest Your Money, Now That You Know a Thing or Two.

"Ms. Farrell currently serves on the Boards of W.R. Berkley Corporation, The Gilman Foundation, Yale New Haven Health System, and NYU Stern, where she is a member of the Executive Committee and Chair of the Finance Committee. She serves on the Investment Committee of NYU, and formerly served on the Board of Trustees.

"Ms. Farrell has received the Alumni Meritorious Service Award from the NYU Alumni Association (1997) and the Women of the Year Award from Manhattanville College (1999). In 2001, Ms. Farrell was honored with the Laura A. Johnson Woman of the Year Award from the Hartford College for Women at the University of Hartford. In 2002, Ms. Farrell was named the Financial Women’s Association’s Private Sector Woman of the Year.
