Biographical Information
"Martin Hindle is chair of University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, and non-executive director and chair of the Finance Committee at the Health Protection Agency. From 2004 to 2009 he was Director of the National Biological Standards Board and was a non-executive director of the National Blood Authority from 2000 to 2005. He has held a range of senior positions in the private sector, including international pharmaceuticals and telecommunications."[1]
"Martin began his working career for Fisons PLC Pharmaceutical Division in Loughborough. In 1980 he was appointed as Chief Executive of the Nordic Region for the French company, Rhone Poulenc. Martin was subsequently appointed Chairman and Chief Executive of Fisons’ French operation. He then joined the Board of the Pharmaceutical Division as Global Commercial Director. He later joined Cable and Wireless as Chief Executive Officer C&W Naute.
"Martin is an experienced Non Executive Director, having sat on the Board of the National Blood Authority, National Biological Standards Board and the Leicestershire & Rutland Probation Service. Most recently, he was a Non Executive Director of Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where he was a Non Executive Lead on their successful application to become a Foundation Trust (FT)."[2]
