Biographical Information

Martella Wilson-Taylor, Assistant Clerk of the board, became a trustee of the Hyams Foundation in 2006. "She is the recent past President and CEO of the YWCA Boston. Under Marti’s sixteen years of leadership, the YWCA completed a major renovation of its headquarters building and founded the YWCA’s Academy of Women Achievers, among other accomplishments. Marti also served on the board of the National YWCA. Prior to joining the YWCA, Marti was a principal in the organizational development consulting firm, Wilson Taylor Associates and served as President of Transitional Employment Enterprises, Inc. Marti currently serves on the boards of South Africa Partners, Pine Manor College, the Cloud Foundation and the Massachusetts Health Council. She is a graduate of Cheyney State College in Pennsylvania and has a Master’s in Developmental Psychology from San Francisco State University. Marti lives in Brighton and chairs the Foundation’s Governance Committee." [1]
