Mark Craig "is currently General Manager - Life Sciences and Exhibitory for the Sydney Attractions Group ( Sydney Aquarium and Sydney Wildlife World ) and is responsible for all areas of animal operations and visitor experiences. He has extensive experience in all types of zoo / operational management and zoo business, at an international level. He was the Director of the Al Ain Zoo and Wildlife Park in the United Arab Emirates from January 2006 until February 2009. During this period he undertook extensive improvements in all areas of operation and assisted in the design and operational readiness for the Al Ain Wildlife Park and Resort which links wildlife conservation, education and recreation with energy sustainable living.

"He began his career in wildlife management in 1985 as a keeper in Adelaide Zoo, South Australia, and remained there until 2006, undertaking various roles including General Curator, Manager of Life Sciences, and Zoo Director. He also managed the 1000 hectare open range zoo at Monarto Zoological Park for a 10 month period.

"He has and remains an active member of the Zoo Aquarium Association, being the Chair of the Australasian Species Management Program (ASMP) and ARAZPA Board member from 1996 to 2006 and was Vice President of ARAZPA from 2004 to 2006.

"He believes that the modern zoo, aquarium and wildlife park can be a significant resource for wildlife education, conservation, research, entertainment and be managed as a financially sustainable business." [1]
