Mark A. Schulz
Mark A. Schulz "is executive vice president, Ford Motor Company, and president, International Operations. In this position, to which he was appointed October 1, 2005, Schulz oversees the Company’s activities in Europe, Africa and the Asia Pacific region. He is also responsible for the global activities of Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo and is in charge of the Company's partnership with Mazda Motor Corporation. Schulz is a member of the Executive Operating Committee of Ford Motor Company and reports to Chairman and CEO Bill Ford.
"Schulz formerly was executive vice president, Ford Motor Company, and president, Asia Pacific and Africa. Prior to that, as a corporate vice president, he served as head of Asia Pacific and Ford South America Operations. He also served five years as the leader of Ford's operations in Turkey. In his more than 30 years at Ford, Schulz has held several product engineering and manufacturing positions which include: director of Product Development, Ford Japan; director of Corporate Strategy Office; Plant Manager (Sheldon Road); and vehicle line director of Compact Trucks in North America.
"Schulz is a member of the following boards: National Committee of United States-China Relations, United States-China Business Council and the National Bureau of Asian Research. He also is a member of the International Advisory Board for the President of the Republic of the Philippines.
"Schulz holds a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Valparaiso University and masters degrees from the University of Detroit (Economics), the University of Michigan (Engineering) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was a Sloan Fellow." [1]
