Marjorie Swann Edwin

In 2012 "members of the Resource Center for Nonviolence hosted a potluck celebration for local Marjorie Swann Edwin, organized by Markley Morris of San Francisco. Edwin, now in her 90s, has more than seven decades of active nonviolence activism under her belt. She was a founding member of the Committee for Nonviolent Action (CNVA), a radical pacifist organization formed in 1957 to resist the U.S. government's program of nuclear weapons testing.

"She helped organize the first interracial white-collar labor organization with the American Federation of Labor, and was arrested several times for her activism, serving six months in a federal prison for trespassing at the ICBM base in Nebraska." [1]
