Margaret La Montagne was Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy in the first administration of George W. Bush. She served as Senior Advisor to Governor Bush, "developing and implementing his education agenda. Previously worked as associate executive director of the Texas Association of School Boards, responsible for governmental and external relations. Other experience includes work for Texas Gov. William P. Clements and for members of the Texas House of Representatives." [1]
