Malcolm Maguire

Biography

"Malcolm has been undertaking research into aspects of employment, education, training and the labour market for over 30 years, with particular specialisms in: the youth labour market; vocational education and training; employers’ recruitment strategies; lifelong learning; career guidance; and employee development. Since 2007, he has been the Director of Maguire Policy Research.

"Malcolm’s previous posts include Director of the National Institute for Careers Education and Counselling (NICEC), and Co-director of the Centre for Labour Market Studies at Leicester University. He has published widely on a range of education, employment and training related topics, and was formerly a trustee of the Guidance Council."
