Mahlon Mitchell is a Madison, WIsconsin firefighter and head of a state firefighters' union.
2011/2012 Wisconsin Recall
Mitchell is making a bid for lieutenant governor of Wisconsin. He is running against current lieutenant governor [Rebecca Kleefisch] who is up for recall in the state.
Mitchell became a vocal opponent of Walker's reforms during the tumultuous union demonstrations in Madison, which led many to praise his courage for speaking out against the governor. [1]
